‘Flock’ White Blend, Pinot Gris x Bacchus, England, 2023

£25.00

55% Pinot Gris, 45% Bacchus

Grapegrowing: Our Bacchus is sourced from a high altitude vineyard located in the beautiful Surrey Hills and our Pinot Gris from the West Sussex/Hampshire border. The vineyards are found on free-draining loam at 125m and 100m altitude respectively.

Winemaking: The grapes are hand-harvested and whole cluster pressed separately at BGW. Each variety is vinified separately through a natural fermentation in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures, with no MLC or lees ageing. Ten percent of the blend is Pinot Gris that has gone through a week's fermentation on its skins which is blended into the wine to add texture, body and roundness.
